hopelessly devoted...an oxymoron?

While most of the cool peeps in Singapore are watching SG Idol, I was trying hard to design a wedding video cover for a friend, trying to make it unique and one of a kind by adding clever graphics to the lovely photos.

While I fawn over the smiles of the happy newly-weds, I realise I may have very well lost the interest in the 'game of love', ever since the traumatic relationship with donjuan, the roller-coaster emotions from hotandcold, the disconcerting 'come-hither' aggression of ogpapa, and the false expectations from lateralligator. I guess mine is not the first heart broken, and my eyes are not the first to cry...

Still, the adrenalin of love is hard to resist. Unblushingly, I have asked God to send Cupid to send me someone who is both pleasing to my eyes and His eyes. And before I can finish blurting "whoisthelurveofmylife", there's Mr Incredible who appeared, whom I don't foresee gettin' over in the near future. In a whambam's notice, I've become a fool who's willing to sit around and wait, who's in danger of losing my head to a bait. My head is saying "fool, forget him", but my heart is saying "don't let go".

Oh man. Now, do the lyrics of that really soppy song from Grease sound so apt for me??? This cycle of being hopelessly devoted to Mr Hopeful seems to repeat itself until there is totally no hope left, due to a myriad of complicated reasons like mindless bungling of mind games, failed readings of confusing signals that are not even construed meanings in the first place. But still, i remain hopelessly devoted.

And, yes, I can hear Weichong's voice rambling "TLC for jen!" to me againnnnn...
