i grabbed this pic off a friendster profile in my list cos i found their expressions highly amusing. One is absorbed in showcasing his tongue stud to the world and the other is equally engrossed in delivering a shocked reaction to that stud.

Applying the principles of design, this pic is also a perfect example of formal balance achieved by the 2 photographed persons in a symmetrical arrangement. Note that you could visually divide the paper in half and there would be a face on both sides. No one dominates the picture; neither person appears to be more important than the other. The imaginary line of symmetry balances the two beautifully, and coupled with those award-winning expressions, the pic could well win any amateur photography contest.
